PF Memory · knows

Give AI useful context without turning memory into authority.

PF Memory supplies relevant, governed context to an AI workflow, including where information came from, whether it remains current and which permissions apply. It can govern an existing memory or retrieval system already in place; replacement is optional. It does not decide or execute actions.

The operational problem

More context is not always better context.

AI systems can act on stale, contradictory, unauthorised or poorly sourced information. They can also consume large volumes of repeated context when only a small relevant subset is needed. A governed knowledge layer should help the workflow distinguish what may be used, under which conditions and with what origin.

Wrap what already exists

PF Memory can sit over an existing memory, vector store, retrieval service or organisational knowledge source. It governs the context supplied to the workflow without requiring the customer to discard the store or platform already in use.

Retrieve what the task needs

Selective retrieval is intended to reduce unnecessary context transmission and token consumption by supplying relevant governed material rather than repeatedly injecting an entire retained corpus. The actual reduction is workflow-specific and should be measured against the customer’s baseline.

Knowledge remains attributable—not authoritative

Governed context retains origin, permissions and lifecycle information for later review. PF Memory knows, but it never becomes the final PF decision authority and does not execute the action it helps contextualise.

Selective retrieval is designed to reduce unnecessary context transmission. The saving is measured against each customer workflow rather than guaranteed in advance.

Authority stays separate. PF Memory supplies governed context. PF Kernel decides whether a resulting action is permitted; PF Core may preserve the context references used in that governed evaluation.
